Gooseberry Special!


The gooseberry tree is mainly found in Asia. All the parts of this plant has various medicinal usage, especially in Ayurvedic and Herbal preparations. The Gooseberry fruit is nearly spherical in shape, light greenish yellow in color and has 6 stripes on its outer surface. Gooseberry is a fruit which is rich in Vitamin C content besides protein, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene and B complex. Its a fibrous fruit and it taste sour and bitter, but when we drink water after eating this fruit, it produces a sweet and refreshing taste. There are various medicinal uses for this fruit like, it reduces fever and cough, purify the blood and strengthens the heart. It is also used to treat constipation and enhances digestion. Since it stimulates the hair growth and nourishes the scalp it is also used in making shampoos and hair oil. So people don't miss out this fruit in your meal...
