Rajni's daughter Aishwarya Danush is working as an associate director in her brother-in-law Selvaraghavan's film Ayirathil Oruvan. Ayirathil Oruvan is a movie featuring Paruthiveeran star Karthi in the lead role. Aishwarya says, "I grew up watching my dad's (Rajnikanth) movies. I love narrating and writing scripts. I have grown up hearing many story discussions at home." Speaking about the film, she says, "Ayirathil Oruvan is a movie of a different genre. Selva has paved way for directors to think more creatively and boldly in the future".
