A rare race

We have known so many kinds of races so far.We have heard of a 100 or 200 meter sprint, car race ,bike race or even bicycle race.This kind of a race is very rare.The race is actually about who can climb up all the floors in a multi storied building in short time span.This competition called 'stair racing ' is conducted in many places around the world.This competition took place in Taiwan.A German athlete sprinted up 91 floors in 10 minutes and 53 seconds on June 15th to win the Taipei 101 race.A leg burning effort that took him to the top of world's tallest sky scraper.Thomas Dold a specialist at stair racing who has already won this years New York Empire State building run up to claim 6600 Us dollars as prize money.The race had many contestants who were ready to run the tall sky scraper.About 2500 people took part in the race.Dold 23 years climbed the 390 meters(1287 feet) building to beat last year's champion Italian Marco De Gasperi to second place.Taiwan chen Fu-Tsai stood third in the race.
