Surprises About Mankind

Everyman is the architect of his own fortune. They live as if they will never die and they die as if they had never lived. They lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health. By thinking anxiously about the future they forget the present. Thus, they live neither for the present nor for the future. Circumstances are the rulers of the weak people, but they are the instruments of the wise people. worry is the interest paid on trouble before it becomes due. Success is a public affair while failure is a private funeral.
